REI - Round Rock

To promote this concept, REI committed to "green building" technology when planning its opening of a retail location in Round Rock, Texas. The facility serves not only as an expansive retail center, but also contains community rooms dedicated to meeting space and educational seminars.

Stromberg manufactured the Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) panels that serve as the cladding for this retail location. The panels take on the appearance of rough-quarried stone to deliver a colossal, imposing visual impact. However, while Stromberg GFRP can completely mimic the appearance and feel of stone it is much lighter and more resistant to weathering effects.
