The design for Hollywood Casino in Shreveport incorporates the glitz and glam of the Golden Era of film with the intricate details of the art nouveau movement. Stromberg Architectural designed and manufactured numerous structural and decorative pieces to portray this look reminiscent of classic Hollywood. Art meets function with every piece designed for the El Dorado Casino. Over half the columns were crafted from our GFRP and illuminated from within for a soft, glowing effect. These columns not only act as essential support fixtures, but as lighting and decoration as well. Other lighting needs were met using custom lighting coves designed and constructed by Stromberg.

The lighting fixture illuminating the covered parking area is centered within the 87' art deco medallion, crafted by Stromberg. This medallion, consisting of intricate detail and the signature curvy lines of art nouveau, has been mentioned by such architectural journals as "Glass, Steel and Stone: Global Architecture Encyclopedia," which commented on the superior craftsmanship of the piece.

Stromberg's attention to detail completes the ambiance of any project. For the show lounge, bas relief pilasters were fashioned of GFRG and MetalCast to capture the gilded appeal of the Hollywood. Other MetalCast pieces include canopy medallions and column caps. Each piece of the wall panels and trim were precisely designed and crafted to form a seamless finished product.

Stromberg Architectural works in glass as well. In the construction of the Hollywood, Stromberg provided a number of mirrors and glass panels, including a Lalique style glass panel for the reception area, so named for its resemblance to the art deco style of French glass-worker Rene Lalique.
