South Riding Professional Center
This professional office center was completed in 2008 and boasts custom features in each suite which can range from 1,651 to 30,000 square feet in size. The two-story structure was designed with flexible space plans and is located near two medical campuses in Chantilly, Virginia.
Stromberg Architectural Products was called on to produce the custom cornice for this first-rate office building. The cornice was fabricated with Stromberg's Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC). GFRC is an ideal material suited for cornice as it mimics perfectly the look and texture of concrete or quarried stone at a fraction of the weight. GFRC is also particularly resistant to the effects of weathering, in some cases even surpassing the limits of genuine concrete. GFRC is also easily molded into a variety of shapes and applications and Stromberg can manufacture everything from the simplest cornice to the most intricately sculpted custom pieces. It is also an ideal material for exterior columns, cupolas, domes, wall panels and a myriad of other architectural features.
