San Jose State University Campus Village
San Jose State University (SJSU), is the oldest university in California. SJSU prides itself on blending tradition and innovation, making the university a perfect match for Stromberg Architectural, where we continually strive to offer both traditional products and innovative new materials.
Among the materials we offer are our Glass Fiber Reinforced Stone and new High Performance Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete.
Stromberg Architectural designed and manufactured three custom spires and a base to ornament along with various composite components.
San Jose Business Journal Project of the Year Award.
The Campus Village Housing project features three multi-story residential buildings above a two-level parking structure. The roof of the parking structure acts as the podium for all three buildings:
- Eight-story Building "A" houses faculty and staff.
- Building "B" contains 15-stories of student apartments. Also houses student recreation center, meeting space, computer lab, offices and retail.
- Building "C" has more student housing.
Student housing and Universities are ideal applications for Stromberg Architectural Products which include:
- GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete)
- Architectural Fiberglass (FRP)
- GFRG (Glass fiber reinforced gypsum)
"Stunningly beautiful addition to the campus"
