Paris Cancer Center
The Paris Cancer Center is a community-based cancer treatment facility offering a wide variety of outpatient cancer care, from the most advanced laboratory and radiology diagnostic equipment to chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Approximately 45-50 treatments per day are carried out in the facility's linear accelerator alone. It is an affiliate of U.S. Oncology.
Stromberg Architectural Products produced window surrounds, ball finials and wall capping for this facility. These elements were manufactured using Stromberg's cast stone process. Stromberg uses a refined mix of graded aggregates and concrete to create a molded product that can mimic a number of varieties of natural cut stone. Besides ease of production, cast stone will weather elements better than true stone and, on average, is more than three times stronger than the natural product.
