Claremont Inn
The Claremont Inn in Stratton, Colorado is a highly unique boutique-style hotel where every room has its own motif and is designed to inspire the feel of a bed and breakfast. It is described as "An oasis on the Colorado plains" and is the dream child of hotelier Dave Dischner. Dischner already owned a big hotel with a recognizable name, but built the Claremont in 1995 to realize his ideal vision of what a personalized resort on the plains should be. He employs the cruise ship philosophy where "after a guest checks in, all the work is done for them." For food, furnishings and entertainment; the Claremont Inn is a beacon of luxury in a very sparsely populated part of the country.
While each guest room is its own unique style; the building's exterior had to be cohesive, classy and above all - highest-quality. That's where Stromberg Architectural Products came in. Stromberg manufactured a number of elements for this hotel from our Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) including: risers, stairs, pier caps, finials and balustrade. The pier caps supplied came topped out both with ball finials and swag urns. For outdoor architectural amenities, Stromberg's GFRC products are the best option around. With the appearance and texture of concrete or quarried stone, GFRC is much lighter and more durable against the most corrosive natural elements.
